Serving the Tampa Bay area for almost two decades, Dr. Andrés has an incredible bedside manner that comes from his years of interaction with patients over the span of his international training. Being fluent in Spanish, English, and an intermediate level of Portuguese gives him the ability to relate to a mixed patient demographic.
As the founder and CEO of Tersa Oral and Facial Surgery, Dr. Andrés provides a comprehensive range of services encompassing the latest advancements in dentoalveolar surgery—including simple and complex dental implants cases, trauma, complex extractions, bone grafting, full-mouth rehabilitation, management of maxillofacial pathology, with a particular passion for lip cancer and reconstruction.

In addition to his oral surgery practice, Dr. Andrés has founded Tersa Facial Aesthetics and Spa to cater to patients seeking innovative techniques in structural skin tightening and revitalization. Medical Distinctions
Doctor Andrés Guerra-Andrade earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2001 and subsequently completed his internship and residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical Sciences Campus at the University of Puerto Rico - School of Dental Medicine. He further advanced his training through a Head and Neck Oncologic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Cancer Institute, earning a Master of Dental Science (MDS) degree from the University of Puerto Rico in 2011.
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Board of Dental Anesthesiology, Dr. Andrés has held numerous academic and hospital appointments, including one at the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine, and Suncoast Community Health Centers. He is also a faculty member of the School of Dental Medicine at the Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Dr. Andrés is a formal reviewer for the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and an active member of the following organizations: AAOMS, ACOMS, ADSA, FSOMFS and ADA. He also served as President of the West Pasco Dental Association (2018–2019). His professional record includes scientific publications, lectures, and presentations on topics such as oral cancer surgery, lip cancer, dental implants, complex facial reconstruction, oral and maxillofacial pathology and deep IV sedation for dental, oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures.
